One of the best events of the year…

The Alumni Day Parade

The Alumni Association Parade is one of our most cherished traditions, bringing generations together in a spirited celebration of community pride. With more than a century of history, the parade has become a cornerstone event, only once pausing during COVID, and continues to be a highlight that both alumni and surrounding towns eagerly anticipate year after year.

Each parade carries an annual theme that inspires creativity, camaraderie, and a bit of friendly competition. The heart of the event lies in the floats, imaginative displays crafted by members of the registered classes. You don’t need to be celebrating a 5th-year reunion to take part; every class is welcome to join in the fun. Local bands and live entertainment keep the energy high, filling the streets with music, laughter, and community spirit.

Floats are judged with prizes awarded to the top entries: $300 for first place, $200 for second, and $100 for third…though the real prize is the pride and bragging rights that last well beyond the day itself.

Held rain or shine (with the exception of thunder and lightning), the Alumni Association Parade is more than just an event, it’s a living tradition that brings joy, connection, and celebration to all who participate and attend.

Take a PEEK! This is the Judging Form

A Few Things to Know Before You Roll!

All registered classes are required to read and sign the official Rules & Regulations Waiver, but don’t worry, we’ve made it simple. Everything you need for success is right at your fingertips: the waiver is easy to view, print, and hand in. These forms are mandatory and must be submitted at (or before) the Parade Meeting the week of the event.

The meeting is short, helpful, and (dare we say) fun! Only one representative from your class needs to attend, but trust us, it’s worth it. We’ll cover all the key info you need to shine on Parade Day and answer any last-minute questions.

Want to know exactly how the floats are judged? We’ve even shared the Judging Forms our panel uses! Judges are stationed along the entire route, grading from set-up to the final stretch down Main Street. No secrets, no surprises, just a fair shot at Parade glory.

So, gather your crew, dream up something unforgettable, and let’s see what you’ve got!
